Latur, a drought prone region was keen on getting water on an urgent basis. In this scenario, we recommended the Government the idea of sending water via railway carriages without hampering existing water supply of Miraj City & prepared a plan.
Impressed with our idea, the Government trusted us on this mission & for the first time in the Indian Railways History, water was sent from a railway to drought prone region via carriages & this honour is associated with our company. We had to lay a 4.5km pipeline along with installing stand‐posts & installing pumping machinery at two locations to fill the railway carriages in a record time of 9 days. A similar work would’ve taken minimum time of 6 months. The latur ‘Jaldut’ Express is a living proof of how an excellent project management & dedication can turn a rather simple project into a humongous success along with an all round support of every stakeholder.
